Core Win Condition (10s Rule)

  • ▸ Watch the bottom-screen projection/workbench feed to identify your assigned part sequence.
  • ▸ In v2.0 couch co-op, required ingredients are visible directly on each player's local workbench.
  • ▸ If an opponent finishes their gun first, rush them or bait their shot before they line up the crosshair.

Fatal Mistake

Picking up wrong components forces a stumble delay and leaves you defenseless against armed rivals.

How Firearm Factory Works in Machine Party

Firearm Factory is a tense industrial assembly race and elimination minigame in Machine Party. Contestants are deployed into an active manufacturing facility surrounded by overhead conveyors, mechanical presses, and industrial workbenches. Each player is assigned an individual workstation and a specific blueprint sequence to construct a functional firearm.

Components such as receiver chassis, rifled barrels, trigger assemblies, and loaded magazines continuously tumble from overhead delivery chutes. Players must identify their designated parts, retrieve them from the factory floor, transport them back to their workbench, and assemble the firearm in strict sequence. The first player to complete their weapon receives instant lethal authority: they cock the firearm and eliminate the remaining contestants who are still frantically gathering parts.

Core Mechanics & Assembly Architecture

Assembly ElementRules & Mechanical In-Game Behaviors
Component BlueprintsEach player is assigned a sequence of 4 parts: Receiver, Barrel, Trigger Group, and Magazine.
Conveyor Feeds & DropsParts drop onto conveyor belts and ground chutes at irregular intervals with physics ragdolls.
Workbench InsertionParts must be physically carried to your specific workbench and slotted into the assembly jig.
Version 2.0 UI UpgradeIn the version 2.0 update, ingredient silhouettes render directly above your individual workbench in local play.
Wrong Part PenaltiesAttempting to slot an incorrect or duplicate part causes an error buzzer, dropping the item with a brief delay.
Firearm LethalityA fully assembled firearm grants one chambered round with a crosshair reticle. A direct hit is instant death.

Phase-by-Phase Speedrun Guide

Phase 1: Blueprint Memorization & Initial Sprint

When the simulation begins, an electronic blueprint flashes at the bottom of your screen (and on the holographic projector above your assigned workbench).

  1. Memorize the first two silhouettes immediately (typically the Receiver frame and Barrel extension).
  2. Never assume your recipe matches your neighbor’s build: the engine randomizes required part models across contestants. Copying another player’s path will cause you to grab incorrect components.
  3. Sprint directly toward the central conveyor junction where the first wave of parts drops from overhead hoppers.

Phase 2: The Collection Loop (Fetch, Carry, Insert)

Efficiency in Firearm Factory depends on maintaining a rapid, disciplined collection loop:

  • One Part at a Time: Characters cannot stack multiple firearm components in their arms. Grabbing a second part while carrying one forces you to drop the first.
  • Direct Workbench Slotting: Carry the retrieved part directly up to your workbench table. Press your primary interact button to snap the component into the jig. The model visibly mounts onto the growing weapon frame, advancing your blueprint progress indicator.
  • Physical Contesting and Shoves: If an opponent is running toward a component you both need, use your physical body collision to bump or shove them off trajectory. Bumping a rival while they are carrying a part can stagger their sprint, giving you the split-second window needed to snatch the item.

Phase 3: Handling Opponent Completion & Evasion

If you hear a distinctive metallic slide rack from an opponent’s station, an opponent has successfully assembled their firearm. If you still have parts remaining, continuing to search in open factory floor corridors is fatal.

  1. Drop Open Scavenging: Drop any unneeded parts and immediately take cover behind the heavy steel machinery pillars.
  2. Baiting the First Shot: The assembled weapon has a slight trigger delay and a noticeable crosshair alignment animation. Peek out briefly from behind a pillar to bait the armed player into firing.
  3. Exploiting the Miss: If the armed player discharges their round and misses, they must manually cycle the bolt, creating a 2-second recovery pause. Use this moment to sprint to your workbench, slot your final component, and arm your own weapon.

Phase 4: Aiming and Executing the Final Shot

When you complete your firearm:

  • Your camera shifts slightly forward, raising the weapon into your character’s hands.
  • A glowing target crosshair activates on your screen.
  • Line up your reticle on the center torso of the remaining unarmed players. Press the primary fire button to discharge the round. One clean hit instantly eliminates the target, advancing you toward round victory.

Critical Errors to Avoid

Player MistakeFatal ResultTactical Correction
Dropping Parts Near the TableTossing a part onto the floor near your station does not advance assembly. You must walk directly into the workbench hit-box and press interact to slot the part into the jig.
Chasing Parts Into Squeeze PointsDiving under machinery chutes can trap you under falling crates or moving conveyors.Grab parts as they exit onto open floor space rather than fighting inside feeder chutes.
Tunnel-Vision on Conveyor BeltsStaring at overhead belts blinds you to rivals sprinting up behind you to shove you away.Scan both the incoming belts and ground positions while running your route.
Freezing When an Enemy ArmsStanding still when someone cocks a firearm makes you an effortless stationary target.Break line of sight immediately using factory pillars and zig-zag sprint patterns.

Step-by-Step Guide to Unlocking “Quick draw!” Achievement

The achievement “Quick draw!” requires eliminating an opponent who completed their firearm before you completed yours:

  1. Strategic Trailing: During the assembly phase, allow an opponent to complete their weapon first. Track their progress by listening for their workbench audio cues.
  2. Hold Your Final Component: Have your fourth and final component (such as the magazine or trigger assembly) already in your hands, waiting just inches from your workbench.
  3. Bait Their Initial Shot: The moment the armed opponent turns toward your station with their completed gun, duck behind your workbench frame. Bait them into firing into the table geometry or missing you.
  4. Instant Counter-Assembly: The millisecond their shot impacts the wall, immediately step up to your jig, slot your final part, and cock your own firearm.
  5. Execute the Elimination: Before the opponent can recover from their weapon cycle or sprint behind cover, aim and eliminate them with your freshly completed gun. The achievement unlocks instantly.
